The Konjac sponge is the new (to western culture) facial cleansing tool. Originating in Japan where it has been used for 1500 years as a food source and in the last century as a beauty treatment. Made from a porous root vegetable fiber of the potato family. The Konjac sponge is handmade from the vegetable fiber of this plant and combined with French clays and some contain pure charcoal from bamboo. It is biodegradable and compostable.
Konjac sponges are extremely gentle and can be used on sensitive skin, rosacea and dry patches. It acts as a gentle exfoliator, rubbing off dead skin cells in the most delicate manner. It can even be used on babies (White Sponge).
